Welcome!
Welcome to Pack 131 Den 4. We are a Cub Scout Pack sponsored by Concerned Families of Rolling Hills Elementary.  Our Pack meets every third Thursday of the month at Rolling Hills Elementary from 7:00 - 8:00 pm. If you'd like more information about our pack, please contact our Cubmaster.

Please note, the next Den Meeting will be held in the main floor large meeting room at the Smoky Hill Library.

Recycle Education Center - Sat. Feb 13th
The Recycle Center Tour has just been rescheduled to Feb 13th, 10:00am at the Waste Management Environmental Education Center ( Colorado and 48th) which is about 30 minutes away.  This tour is being scheduled with a few other Dens in the Pack.  It will allow Den 4 to help accomplish the necessary Achievement #6 “Take Care of Your Planet”.

    Shavings and Chips, Achievement #19
We will hold a special Den meeting (around 2-2.5 hours), most likely at the end of January, for those Scouts wanting to participate in Achievement 19.  In preparation for this meeting, I am working with Bob Shepard from the Denver Area Scout Council.  He has supplied me with some great resources that I wish to post on our site.  Scouts will need a pocketknife for this meeting.  Please take a moment to scan some of these resources prior to our meeting.  There will be more to come on this!

Something to start thinking about will be the centerpieces our Den will be asked to create for the February Blue and Gold Banquet.  We will be asked to create about 5 centerpieces (I believe).  Last year’s dinner was a “Chuck Wagon” theme…thus we hand-made some great covered wagons!  This is the 100th anniversary year of Scouting.  I am going to guess that our Cubmaster will ask that this be the focus.  Let’s start putting our thinking caps on in preparation.

The Cub Scout Academics and Sports program is a supplemental enrichment program that complements the existing Cub Scout program. The Academics subjects and, Sports activities allow boys to learn new techniques, increase scholarship skills, develop sportsmanship - and have fun. Boys participating in the program will be recognized for enjoying teamwork, developing physical fitness, and discovering and building new talents. The Academics and Sports program encourages a boy to do his best.  Click  HERE for additional detail about this program.  Click HERE for nice ".pdf" files of the various Belt Loop requirements (see at the bottom of that web site).
